honda auto x

i have a 84 honda 200x, the orginal engine has a ton of performance work done to it and years of stress is taking its toll. about a week ago i bought a pretty rough 86 honda trx200sx. the frame is shot but the engine is in great shape. i was wondering if anyone has ever come across one of those engines being placed in a 200x frame. the mounts look very close but to date i've only ever seen a 200m motor put in a 200x to make an auto x. if worse comes to worse i'll just rebuild the 200x motor but if the trx200 will work i'll just build that up and make an auto x for trail riding. if anyone knows anything let me know, thanks!

Post a pic of the 200sx motor... I think those are closer to the 86/87 200x motor. Maybe find an 86/7 roller to put it in???

Looks like they started to try it but didn't complete it.

I'm still curious about this. Electric start and reverse would be nice for a trail cruiser.
