Maybe somebody bought the wrong chain? They could've taken the old, stretched chain in, got a new one the same size and that new one stretched way out? The one on my 90 was loose enough that I took it off without moving the tensioner. There was probably 1.5-2" of up and down movement in it.
Yea that's what I am thinking, I gotta find the right size chain....DRAtv can't get the right amount of links and I don't have a chain breaker. What is the OEM size chain? (size and number of links?)

So I added a new coil, new contact points, new spark plug, trimmed the coil wire ends and added a new neutral switch and it starts! Seems to run a little bogged down but that is just in the fine tuning I hope. I noticed it wasn't getting fuel (after I already messed with all the adjustments on the carb.....) that the fuel tank cap wasn't letting air in so it wasn't getting any fuel.....
Anyone have any tips and how to adjust the pilot screw, idle screw etc. The manuals are a bit vague.....

Wow thanks for that link, I think something is wrong with my 200x now too....I have never taken apart the carb and just today it has become increasingly hard to start and won't maintain an idle (have to keep it really high).

72 link is what you need with 14/36 sprocket combo. Chain is way too lose in that pic. Nice progress........them 70's are worth it..... they are a freakin' blast man. Keep posting progress......
