Got a new 200x w/ lots of upgrades, need help

So I bought this 200x and basically used the motor for my current 200x....It came with a "high performance" mikuni carb that has it's own boot to attach to the motor and its own air filter. I know it works as I rode the trike with it on and it ran fine. I have no idea what model/size it is! It also came with an aftermarket swing arm, what is it?

I don't think the swinger is aftermarket....it looks like a stock 1983 swing arm. They only used box section swing arms on 1984-85 models, the 83's were made of tube steel.
    Don't worry...just run watcha brung...

^ X file is exastly correct, the swingarm is def. off an 83 200x. Another thing different with that swingarm is that is has no "dogbone" that connects it to the bottom of the shock. The shock just bolts to the swingarm directly. The carburetor looks like a 2 stroke carb. Most all 4 stroke carbs have the butterfly valve to choke it, that one uses a fuel enrichiner. I bought a carb like that on ebay, listed as a "performance" carb for the 200x. I couldnt get it to run right, it was way too rich and would cut out. I tired putting smaller jets in, adjusting needle and air screw, and couldnt get it, so i put the stocker back on. Im not sure, but others have also tried making carbs like that work with not much luck. If it runs, maybe it is tuned perfectly. Hope I helped a little. Peace, ------ Jon.

The carb ran fine I just took it off because I didn't like the looks of just an open air filter no box so I threw my stock carb on. And I thought the swinger was aftermarket because my other 200x is an 85 and has the square swinger.

The carb. looks to be a 30mm. Mikuni. I have the same one on the Wifes's 200X. Mine is bored 1mm. over and is matched to a sudco intake. These carbs only work well on highly modified 200X engines. If it was on your 200X and it ran fine then keep using it. More than likely the motor has some pretty substantial mods done to it. I tries to use a stock carb on our motor once and it ran like crap. Really lean. The swinger is deff. a stock 83 200X one.

Post up more pics of the motor and intake. I'm interested to see what's all done to yours.

I agree with seadoo your mikuni is just an aftermarket set up for the 200x and most used were 28mm though the 30mm usually run rich unless you have a stroker or very modified motor . Look on the carb and see if it has 28 or 30mm on it somewere ? Lets see a pic of the intake manifold

You might have to measure it and compare it to the chart in this PDF, to determine the model.
