    ATC 90 hydrolocked?

I have a 90 which had no compression. so i took it apart and found that the gaskets were bent and blown and that the piston has a small quareter inch wide, barely visible scrape/dent on it. does this mean i should replace the piston?

    K. i'll try to get them tommorrow. if it's a bent valve, the engine turns over just fine.

The first thing he said was that he has no compression.

Could it be the normal dent that is in some pistons? Sounds like you found the problem with the gaskets being blown.

That'll come later. It'll get done. it still turns over just fine and is now in a place where i'm gonna clean it up. But will it still work with the piston in the shape that it is?

if the bore is rusty then no, it shouldn't run good at all.

dents never bothered me on my little trikes. just sand the sharp edges with 220 so you dont get hot spots.

That doesnt look like a stock piston to me and why is it so clean with no carbon was it ever run ? possibly an old NASA big bore piston @ 54/55mm .

possibly. it does say it was made in 99, only 2 years before the trike was last registered so it looks fairly new

And it is also possible that it's never been used, because it's been sitting for about that long too
