I'd give my left nut to have a piece of history like that in my garage. And it runs!!?? Crazy deal. If you ever want to sell it, let me know.

Let me know if you want to unload it. Im actually looking for an 84/85 era flat tracker / ice racer to restore to an era modified garage queen. I have family in albany and north jersey that could pick it up.
PM me if intrested.
Interesting machine. Does your buddy know the history behind it?
I am really torn, it looks like a "rare" piece. But it also looks like it would be very awkward to ride with that frame. It also looks like it might have an extended axle on it. I'm not quite sure why, but I have a funny feeling it is a valuable piece of racing history. Hopefully someone can recognize it and tell us some history on it. Definately couldn't beat it for the price.![]()
I'm willing to bet noone on these boards has seen one of those before... I'd hold on to that puppy for a while.![]()
Very COOL !!!!! and what a deal much better than an X-BOX. I'd find out everything I could about it. Talk to the old owner if you can and see if they have any pics of it in it's GLORY DAYS. Restore it and keep it, thats a great piece of history. If you don't have the funds for the rebuild now stick-it away in a corner for awhile till you get the $$$$. Don't SELL IT you will regret it later. It's very rare that a 17yearold gets a deal like this so KEEP IT!!!! If not I'm sure there's a few T-3 guys who'd love to have it . But I'd keep it, it's gotta be a blast on the ice.

86 TRX 250R Factory Racer (new toy, under resto now)
I'm curious to see what the other Tecate looks like too.
Looks like a slightly modified Franks swingarm, judging by the "lay down" link mount. So, Calvin Franks did make altered custom frames as well. Just wondering out loud.....![]()
Wow is this thing really that valuable? I would love to keep it but something tells me I shouldnt. as much as I would regret it this bike has alot of power, I have no where local to ride (i have a trailer but no truck) and I would probably start riding on the roads which could get me in trouble. I want to try and fix what I can and ride it a little bit, but I dont think I will keep it, for those of you who have shown interest PM me on what you think is a fair price. This bike would be in much better hands of one of you guys, someone who can restore it and enjoy it. Plus right now I need to finish my car, I cant afford one project let alone two. I explored the ATV scene, I rode, I fixed and I crashed, now I think its best for me to focus on cars until I have more money =] Sorry for the rant haha
