    Unhappy 250sx Fork Problem

Hello all, I am new here and had a question I hope someone can help me with. I recently purchased an 85 250sx, I had been looking for one due to owning a big red before but I really liked the way the sx looked. Now when I found the one I bought I thought it looked a little different than the ones I had been seeing. Well after taking it for a little test drive I bought it. It wasn't untill tonight when I popped a wheelie and slammed down quite hard that I noticed the front suspension is not working. As in it is bottomed out all the time. When I hold the front brake and jump down it maybe moves 1/4 inch. That is why it looks different, the front end is like 6 inches lower than most. Anyway, would this be caused by lack of fork fluid, or bad springs? Or something else? Any information that could help me out would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

    Welcome aboad John

it sure sounds like you are missing 1 if not both springs in the fork tubes.
2 per leg, 1 long and one short.

I think a front end swap would be a last resort. I'm going to use this to haul wood out of the woods so sport performance is not needed. I'll tear down the forks this weekend to see what is needed. To replace all 4 springs would be over $150 with new fork seals and I don't want to put that much into it at this point. IS THERE ANYONE WHO WOULD SELL THE SPRINGS OUT OF A 250SX SET OF FORKS?
