125M carb adjustments
I've searched my manual for the settings for the pilot screw and the idle stop screw....and even though I can't imagine a proper manual without this info, I can't find it. I'm trying to get my '84 125M going...I cleaned the carb and put it back together just like it was, but she won't run.Maybe the previous owner messed with the settings. She will start if I close the choke and give it full throttle, but it will only run for a few seconds. I'm hoping it's just a simple carb adjustment. Does anybody know the factory settings for the screws?
1 adust the throttle stop screw to obtain the lowest stable idle rpm.
2. turn the pilot screw clockwise until you hear the engine miss or decrease in speed, then counterclockwise until the engine misses or decreases in speed.
Centre the pilot screw exactly between these two extreme positions, at the point which produces the highest idle rpm (usually 1-5/8 turns out from the closed position)
Note turning the pilot screw in produces a leaner mixture, out a richer mix.
