    200x Racer Build pics

I figured I would post some pictures of the 200x I've been building. I raced this 200x at trike fest this year and won the motocross but split my frame, been rebuilding it since. I put on a like new frame, painted the motor, motor mounts, fork tubes, footpegs, and exhaust. I also rebuilt the forks and rear shock. Added a westcoast +2 swingarm and +4 durablue axle curtousy of shortline. I also put on a nos nasa front fork brace, a white bros hd rear shock spring, and a DID x-ring chain. Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks for good remarks guys! The bike also has a pk intake manifold and will be getting a 28 mm mikuni and an old school chain roller too here shortly. Ya the tires are pretty meaty lol, ill be losing the mudsharks for a set of 18" fast trekkers I have. This is one of two 200x builds I have in the works, once this one is complete I will be building a flat tracker. I have a missle engineering flat track kit for a 200x on the shelf that needs to be put to use.

I love that bike, i looked at this last night and didn't pay too much attention to all of the details. I dont think i've ever seen a fork brace before, and the swingarm/rear end is by far the nicest one you can build for the early 200x. Very nice build, TC...

can you get some detailed photos of the extra parts liek fork brace and other stuff? I've ot seen oen on a triek and would be interested to see about mimicing it on my 200x bike I'm building myself.

what's the motor setup if ya don't mind me asking?

The engine has a lightened flywheel and crank. A webcam 362 lift 270 duration, valve springs with aluminum retainers, hardwelded rockers, supertrapp exhaust with 12 disks, pk intake manifold, and 28 mm mikuni fs carb. Also has a wiseco high compression piston (have to check on the ratio), and mild porting. Ill attach some photos of the rarer parts here shortly. Thanks!

Sweet build. How much of a difference does the white bros shock spring make compared to to stocker? Much stiffer? Also, do you know if there was any difference in spring tensile strength between 83-84 (red springs) and the 85 (I believe had blue spring.) ?? Nice build, and keep up the good work!

The white bros shock spring is much stiffer than stock, it's a rougher ride but it handles jumping alot better. I also added heavier front fork springs to balance it out. Not sure if the tensile strength is different between the red and the blue shock springs, Ive owned both of them and they have around the same travel range and stiffness.

Thanks! There is alot of mods that you can do for a 200x and plenty of aftermarket parts if you know where to look. Here is another picture with the chain roller and footpeg mounted.

Very cool aftermarket parts . Make sure the foot peg bolt is long enough after installing the tensioner , I think I told you about that before though

Ya you mentioned that about the footpeg bolt before. I added a bolt with about 3/8" more threads.
