I like the power band of the round slide mikuni better myself , it seems to make more bottom end power were the flatslide is more like a 2 stroke power very little on low end then it takes off like mad .

^ EXACTLY what I found with my 28 flatslide mikey!!

Not much down low, but pulled hard on top.

Problem was, I could not start it in cold weather. Jumped that pilot to 35,40,45, 50 and 55 and it still wouldn't start cold. I would have worried about a flat spot later, but it wouldn't start. Once it was warm, you were all set. EDIT - (cold meaning 20 degrees)

Many people told me "you can't use a 2 stroke carb on a thumper" mainly due to the fuel enrichening circuit versus the butterfly on your average 4 stroke carb that cuts the air down.......

I guess I dont have to worry about 20 degrees down here in south FL LOL . I have a FS28mm on my sparks bike and it starts up just fine . Its been really cold today , a chilling 57 degrees burr.

Been a while since I've updated so figured I would add some new pics. I added 18" fast trekkers to the rear, numbers to the number plate, an old school IMS plastic short track tank, and a NOS Honda bar pad snap on style. I am still waiting on the front tire and then it will be complete and I will upload higher quality final pictures.

Thanks Mike. Did you modify your steering stops on your 200x's with the short track? I'm debating on it, that tank has a lot more clearance than stock. Ya it will definitely be ready for trike fest this year. I have access to an atv Dyno so I'll have it dialed in well.

My original racer I believe I trimmed the fork stops a bit . I use the 83-84 250r front end on mine and you wouldnt believe the difference when you hit the big jumps .

And I KNOW that there are plenty of goodies on there. Still so glad that I met you on EBAY and was fortunate enough to get a few goodies off of you. My 200X is ported and WIDE!!

Thanks for the good remarks guys. Yeah the 250r front end will be an addition in the future, it currently has a set of NOS Phase Five HD fork springs up front that help a little bit, still nothing like the 250r set-up tho.

^ My god, Phase 5 even made fork springs?!!

Before I forget, (if you feel it's an upgrade) please set aside a crappy used spring that you have as long as the spring still has it's "gusto", you know whats up............... I like to jump and some I hit are fairly large, you get the picture...................

Pardon my ignorance, I've just been swamped (TRULY SWAMPED!!) but I believe it was you that had some rear shock springs that work on the 86/87 20X rear shock also?? I'm sorry, IDK which end is up or down right now with so much going on. I'd have to back up and see what you had said/posted or if was even you??

I'll blast it and PC it and the spring; It's about time I taught myself how to rebuild shocks anyhow. Unfortunately another 3WW member whom I gave some free (Banshee) parts to, could not set aside a couple hours to work with me on my 1st shock rebuild with him at my cost; I was just looking for his tips/tricks or guidance.

But, I've learned everything else on my own so far so F-it, I'll survive : I don't give people things with expectations of reciprocation in the future; If thats the case then it is NOT A GIFT!!! Never give things away with expectations. The help would've been much appreciated though, but no big deal...........................I'll live.

Anyhow, please shoot me an email and I'll try to buy a spring from you. I do have some stuff kicking around for your trike??; Regardless, we'll figure something out that I can afford in my current situation but I'm a jumper and I do need a good tough spring from you.............

Regardless as I said before, you've done a fantastic job on this machine - THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Long live the ATC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
