    Just joined from the U.K got a 600cc tri-z

    Hi all

I just bought myself a 600cc yamaha tri-z and found your forum on good ol' google!

The trike is based on a tri-z with an extended front end and a yamaha xt600 engine fitted

Need some advice for getting it on the road hopefully you can help

    1. Front brake is very poor any advice on upgrades?
    2. rear shock is a bit short do you know of any longer than standard that fit?
    3. Any Upgrades for headlights need more power!

The trike isn't currently on the road but it isnt far off hopefully with some help I will have it done before the weather goes bad!

to the boards. We can help for sure. It will help if you are a bit more specific. I imagine the headlight could be a groung problem, of course, it helps if you put new bulbs in it.
Ask away, I'm sure the Yamaha Pro's will be here soon.
Ohh, and we'll need of this beast.
    Enjoy your stay.

The headlight has some bulbs in it and they do work they just aren't all that powerful and I suspect I will have trouble getting it through the mot with the current bulbs.

Im afraid im not that brilliant with uploading pics but you can see the trike here

that thing is sick, are you gonna use it on road, or switch out the tires for off road.

Probably better taking the lights off and having a 'daytime only' MOT... unless you wanna specifically ride at night?

Cheers for all the comments Yes its going on the road, Im getting a spare set of wheels with off road tyres so I can swap them quick for a bit of off road fun!

I want to keep the lights really as its got all the wiring and everything else is working fine! might try and convert them to h4 bulbs for a bit more high power!

Shes getting there still got a few issues to resolve!

    1. shock mounting is terrible the spring rubs on the swingarm!
    2. exhausts are a bodge
    3. carbs to close to frame to fit an airfilter
    4. front brake is absolute rubbish!
    5. Headlights aren't good enough to pass an mot
