That actually is the vin they used nine digits back in the day before 16 were standard you can call Yamaha atv customer support to verify the year and everything with that number

it worked perfect on my 82 atc 185s and the DNR think its an 84 according to the registration and will it work on the old mancos and t.e 380 as well
