I power washed the crap out of mine before I started my resto on my BR... Never had any issues with getting the electrical wet...
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

MonroeMike - I haven't gotten the solenoid figured out yet. I looked at the wiring but don't know how I would go about wiring it up since it's a pole short.

I steamed cleaned the plastics and the frame. I cleaned up my 185 the same way and she never had any problems with the electrics

You're talking about painting your racks, I had mine sandblasted and painted them with Dupli Color truck bed liner. It's durable and has a textured/flat finish. I think total for all of it was about $25.

Hi everyone. I've been working hard the past two weeks on this thing. Thanks to atc500x for an axle, I was able to get the front end back together last night. Today I finished putting it together and working out the kinks. I put new front bearings in, new headlight bulb, new front tire, and carb. I gotta get the choke cable figured out. I got the electric start working and now I got a serious problem. When I went to fire this thing up this afternoon, I heard a grinding sound. I took the starter cover off and sure enough, the starter gear along with the other gears are stripped. The one on the crank is good. If anyone knows where I can get the gears please let me know. Anyways, I put up some pics of other trikes that I have in my family. The rest are my inlaws. The '82 185S is one I restored before Christmas. The other 185S needs a carb. I've got one just got to put it on. I picked up the '84 200ES Monday night for my father in law. Needs work and will be next project. Anyways enjoy the pics and let me know what you think.

The Big Red looks a lot better.

That 185s you did, looks good too.
