ATC 110 Pull Start questions + CDI Confusion

    Hi,

Were there only two ATC 110 pull starts made? I have two, and both are different sizes. One is 'deeper' than the other.

I need the deeper one to attach it, and I only have the smaller size. Can I simply buy a new cover, or will I need an entirely new assembly?

    Thanks

Alright, I assume the only way I'm going to find out what my engine is would be to search it for a number....

Or I can take the 'deeper' assembly off my 81 and put on the engine I just put into a frame. If it fits and works I will just buy an 81-83 model.

Very simple to find out what year motor . If its a 110 with points its a 79/80 if it has cdi and the recoil case is completely round its a 81-83 and if the recoil cover has a notch in the cover its a 84/85 model or post a pic and I can tell you .

I looked at the engine, I managed to find this:

    TB02E- 2729983

And it did say 105cc I believe.

Without researching the number at all, I'm inclined to believe this is a 1983 110 engine. This would make sense as the 1981 'deeper' pull start looks to fit it. (Have not tested yet)

Thanks, that would make sense, here:

Now my problem, isn't this supposed to be the CDI I use with this 85 motor?

I have an identical spare one, but my motor's CDI is enclosed, here's the inside:

    Any ideas?

The term "CDI" is the type of ignition system.

The second pic is the pulse generator (#2) and the spark advancer (#1).

The third pic is the ignition module (#5).
