    Terry Cable Swinger 1st gen.

Just to give you guys an update on this swinger and the story behind it. I now have it on my 82R, and it is very sweet. It's actually a +3. Very stable and strong. Along with the Works shock I have on it makes an unbelievable upgrade to the first gen R. Here's the story behind it: It's a Terry Cable product. I talked to Mr Cable himself. He said that back in the day alot of local riders/racers were beating him up to make a good extended swinger for the 1st gen that was stable and strong. He said he came up with this design and sent the specs to a machine shop that made helicopter parts. They made a run of about 65-75 as he recalls. Well under 100. I've been searching and haven't seen any other ones like this. Anywy, I thought you might be interested in the story behind it.

Good find Shawn. I have never seen an early R swinger like that before.

That's really sweet. I've seen pictures on here before of a swinger just like that, but I think it was an unknown piece. It looks nice on the trike and gives it tons of extra character. Now you just need a NOS caliper chain tensioner for your trike. Let me know and I can hook you up. I was looking for a picture, but I'm still not real good with the new system yet. I'll have to keep digging up a picture.

800-854-4691 Ask for Terry. The other guys that work there are pretty young I think and they won't have a clue what you're talking about unless it's new stuff.

Beautiful arm Shawn72. What a great piece of history to go along with it. However i can't seem to read all of the attached info you provided. A cast aluminum swingarm is something only the oem's successfully do today. But an aftermarket company doing this nearly 30 years ago is amazing.

yeah, It's hard to read. I finally stared at it long enough and it says Terry Cable 81 82 cast swingarm. the 3 wheeler in the magazine above the picture has one of the swingarms on it.

    Hi,
My friend and I both have one of these swingarms, I was also told there were only 65 or so manufactured.
