See pics...(on top of engine)
Any idea what this is for? Is it important? The bolt was missing on my YTM225DX...
Thanks!

Cool. Thanks.
The bolt hole does not go through to the other side (it is a threaded hole), so I'm not sure if it is that important.
If anyone has a 225DX, please have a look at yours and see if there is anything there. Might just be to hold an accessory or something...?
No, it's an engine mount and you definitely need it. Take the other one out and put it in the hole, make sure it threads in there, and then use that bolt to get a matching one at your local hardware store. The engine won't fall out while both bolts are out, but don't ride it!
Looking at the parts fiche, it does not really show what goes in there either. Did you actually take a look on your 225DX?
Just would rather order the part from the dealer but I can not find it on the fiche...? (engine bolts are usually higher grade that I can get from my hardware store)

Thanks guys!
So I'm assuming these two bolts (see picture below) would be the same. I would then order another #3 bolt (scroll up to find fiche photo) to finish that off.
MonroeMike, is that a 200 or 225 engine in the photo?
Thanks,
It's a 225 engine.
yes they are the same bolt
