    200x problems

I have 83 honda atc 200x that I have a hard time getting to run. I have good spark and fuel. It runs great when I can get it to kick over but it takes me about 15 minutes to get it to start. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do to solve this problem? I really like this trike and would like to keep it for awile. please help

sounds like a dirty carb ... have you cleaned it or better yet got a kit for it?

I had an 87 250x quad that was doing the same thing to me. It had good spark and a clean carb, but would not fire. By chance I changed the spark plug and it started every kick and ran great. Sounds way too easy, but i would rule that out definately before i ripped the cover off and started adjusting the valves.

Mine had a leak around the exhaust gasket, starts a lot better now that it had enough back pressure. Also could be a leak on the carb side.
