It just didn't look like any sleeves in the fork extensions. When you extend tubing like that you have to do a few things. You should bevel the ends right down to the sleeve, even leave a gap. Then burn the weld right into it,plus plugswelds.A few gussets really should have been added under the lower tree.I make a living welding.

I drilled holes in the main tubes exposing the inner sleeve and welded them in (if this is what you mean.)and the ends were beveled where they meet each other. again filled in. I know a little about fabrication . I shouldnt have skipped gussets but you live you learn .I admit that my welds look like crap. but I trust em. not the best welder on my block thats for sure. thanks for the concern. I plan to wheelie the crap out of it. HaHa!

Believe it or not, my eye is caught more by the beadlocks than the chopper aspect! Nice trike. It looks clean & well executed, unlike some that I've seen for sale on CL.

Does anyone know of an extended throttle cable I could use for this. the plan was for a small set of ape hangers but the throttle cable is right at its limit now. any more and it might start tugging on it.

I was expecting to see something butchered and half @$$ed, but wow! Great job on that. Be careful dropping wheelies too hard on that bad boy

well have a small update, had to do the jockey shifter. this 3 wheeled menace was begging for it and I had to oblige! what do you think? Still waiting on my ape hangers.
