need a little help wiring up my new trx kill switch

one wire goes to the ground (frame bolt or something). other wire will go the the black wire on the coil. there are other ways to do it also but this is the best way. the black wire on the coil is also the same black wire at the on/off switch. where ever it is easiest to get to.

i found the trx manual but it only helped a little. i got the kill function working but not the headlights. although i do know the headlights and back light work because briefly when i would press the horn button on the switch they came on. so then i tried to change a wire around, but now i cant even get the darn thing started. i sure wish i knew why 350xs are so hard to start.

i must have blown something electrical because that thing absolutely will not start.

The switch is kind of wired backwards from a 350x, but it's close. When I switched switches on the trx450r and the 350x I just desoldered and resoldered. If you take both swtiches apart and look how the wires attach at the switches, it will make more sense. I had started to unwrap the 450r switch and there are just too many splices, same as the 350x. Deslolder and resolder, it seems hard but is easier than trying to cut splice and rewire. Take it from a lazy man that has rewired several harleys by hand.

i guess i am confused. i never seen a kill switch that controlled the lights. only ones i seen only have two wires.

maybe i was a litle vauge last night due to my frustration. im trying to wire a trx combination switch into my 86 350X. the reason being, that its the one atcheavean offered for my X. i got the kill function working but still am in neeed of help to get the lights working
