    My one and only ATC

My dad bought this for me and my brother to play around on out in the desert for when we go out. But since then, I've taken it over, and began polishing it up.

We got it for 100 dollops, which also included 5 sets of tires (including brand new paddles with new rims and knobbys on crap rusted out rims), a 185S chassis minus front wheel, and a 200 rolling chassis (which I have no idea why we sold, it was in good condition, and literally only needed an engine).

We got it in crappy condition, with 3 flat tires, original rusted out tank, cracked fuel lines, mud in every corner, busted throttle cable, bent front forks, and I'm sure a lot of other stuff I've forgotten about.

It's missing the forward motor mount bolt, and the motor is beginning to bend down. Also, those paddles on the back ain't all that great for cruising around here in crest (which is mostly paved roads- Yes, I know I shouldn't, but it's fun anyways outrunning my friends little CRF50, which is missing a wheel..??). And it's got an air leak, of which we need to tap out the intake bolt hole and repair.

It's also got a SuperTrap pipe on it

I'm going to restore this one (which includes getting it powder coated again, and refinishing the fenders- does anyone know where I can get them repaired and refinished? ) then add another to my collection. What do you think, a 200, or 250R?

Nice trike... Think about what its worth to you (in a $ number) before you start your project... They have a tendency to go beyond that....
No trikes. Too old, too crippled. Unless I find one I can't live without!

    I don't have a garage, sooo.....

BUT that's not stopping me from gathering a collection of them. I'm thinking a couple 250's, a 200, big red, and maybe a 125?

That's an awesome trike, especially for $100. I want a 90 or 110 sometime. But seriously......really seriously...go to the hardware store tomorrow and get a grade 8 bolt for the motor mount. It will cost under $2. Best ot order the right bolt from Honda but any bolt that holds the engine in place will be a major improvement. You could crack the rear mount since it is all that is holding the engine in, then your cases would be damaged. And that would suck. You would be kicking yourself for a long time if the motor got damaged from not having a bolt. One of the other frames might have something that would work, even if its too long.

But really I think the trike is awesome, that's why I'm going on about the bolt.

Yeah, I really do need to get a bolt for it. I'd hate to have the motor fall out from beneath me when riding..

Also, if I deflate the tires a bit, will it smoothen out the bouncy ride going over small ruts and such? I'd imagine it would..

What! You only have one trike! How dare you post on here! LOL Welcome to the boards. Atc90. Ahh the memories. I started on one of those a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.... But I digress. They are fun and great entry level trikes. Great to learn the basics of riding and wrenching. Make sure to get yourself a shop manual. A nice set of metric sockets and wrenches will help you alot. A nice "clicking" torque wrench is also a great tool to have. The 90 will be fun to fix up as long as it doesn't have to be a museum quality restoration. Original parts are getting harder to find, but no problems as far as just keeping it riding worthy though. And if you see nuts and bolts fall out, replace them as soon as you can. You wallet and body will appreciate it and it's just a good habit to get into. Your tires should only have about 5 or 6 pounds of airpressure in them. You will need a low pressure airgauge. An old bicycle tire pump works well to keep air in the old honda tires. Any more than 6 psi or pressure and not only will the ride be more miserable than usual, but you take a chance of damaging the insides of the tires, which isn't good for wallet and body. And for your next trike, don't worry man, we won't buy them all up. Welcome to the boards. Have fun. Wear your helmet and be safe. Don't put your foot down in a turn! LOL And don't be afraid to hang off the side in a turn. Neat trike, take care of it.
