Can someone help identify this mystery piece?

Does anybody know what this is? It has power going to it and my best guess it that it must have been for some kind of aftermarket spot light or power adapter. Can someone tell me for sure? This is on an '86 250ES.

That was a factory part for power like you mentioned. I have no idea what you use to connect to it but I've seen those parts on eBay before.

GAve mine away, and adapted it to a 12v cigarette lighter. Havent used that either, but it would be alot simpler to adapt to... Maybe some long trail ride for my phone charger, or gps....

Yes it is a power port, you need to wire in your accessories to the plug, and Honda sold more plugs to add more items.

Hmm.....was this port some sort of option, or did every Big Red have one? Do any of you fellas know where I can find some pictures or info about the accessories Honda originally offered for these?

Thanks you guys for clearing that up for me. Are the work lights still obtainable via eBay or Craig's List (or what have you), or did no one ever order them? I think the work light would definitely be a cool accessory.

I'd try to find the correct connectors so you dont have to modify stock in case you change your mind.
    as for where?

Harley used to put a lighter built into te gas tank.

No joke, I had one of those.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to meet Jesus some day; just not any time soon. I'd like to avoid a cigarette lighter anywhere near the gas tank if I could.

I was inquiring if these "work lights" are still findable in gently used condition.

Mounting, made a small bracket, and 2 screws, and 2 wires.... The work light seems a little hokey to me considering the headlight functions as the same...
