84 200es big red rear axle removal

I'm trying to get a rear axle for my 200es big red from a member. He doesn't know how to remove it though. He can remove the whole diff with the axle in it. But shipping would be a lot less with all that weight off. As far as I know just take off the tires, and then remove the hubs, loosen the big nuts on the outside off the diff, remove the brake assembly, then tap out from the right hand side with something soft over wear your hitting like a wood block, until the splines are free, then slide the axle out the left side off the diff. Is that correct? Can anyone explain how to remove it with pictures I would really appreciate it.

thats it exactly. just put a cinder block under the skidplte, do that, and use a little heat and WD40 on the brake drum. otherwise it slides right out.
