    you guys talked me into it, so i made it happen....

    i got me an R. now i just need ya'll to tell me just exactly what i got. i havent even mastered the 350x and now i gotta learn all about the 2strokes. so any tips, knowledge info ect.., will be very greatly appreciated. here are some bullet style facts and sorry about the pics. nightime with cameraphone

    paid $900
    was listed for $1500 as an 82'
    guy i bought it from had bought it from his good family friend for $3000
    it's a total drag bike
    bored to .310
    jetted
    extended swinger
    starts right up
    got a bunch of extra parts- top and bottom end motor, sprockets, 2 sets tires rims,carb,jets,rotors, swingers ect..
    the bike was 1st in the points race when it was sold to the guy i bought it from.
    split radiator with a cap on top (water-cooled?)
    ate raptors and banshees for dinner, repeatedly beat a quad called a 700 somethin. i forgot, but when he saw me lookin like i didnt know what bike he was talkin bout he said" the race version,not the utility version" i just said oh, ok

    the pics def make it look pretty bad. the plastics faded as they look in these pics. and the frame is really really nice

    yeah those tires are completely bald and coming off tomorrow. i figure i'll put the stryker tires i got on my 350x and the little dunlops on the R.

    hey anybody that reads this i have an emergency question. is it ok if there is a little play in the front sprocket? and by play i mean in and out . the bolts are tight so i guess its not the sprocket but the gear shaft coming from the case

    It's normal for the countershaft to have some slight play. Approximately how much play do you have?

    Nice score BTW! Smokin deal! I bet it rides real rough with that solid strut in place of the shock.

    i'd say about 1/8 inch of play. and i think im gonna put the shock back on the R
    i have a ride planned for tomorrow and i know im takin the BR and 350x. i wanna take the R, but at the same time i feel like i need a day or 2 to go through it. especially since this is my first 2stroke. i wish one of you guys could hook me up with a manual and a small checklist
