I took the 1000x out yesterday for a short spin with the GPS in an attempt to get the speedometer calibrated but not too far into it I ran out of gas. I couldn't get a hold of anyone to rescue me so I made the 4 mile walk of shame back home. I took the YFZ450 quad and a gas can back to the 1000x and got it going but then I was faced with the problem of two wheelers and one operator. I ended up with the front bumper of the quad strapped to the rear grab bar of the trike and off I went with my train. Got some strange looks from a couple of joggers but it worked. Turns out the 1000x gets about 30 mpg, how does that compare to a stock ride?

be happy it was just low gas i have been stranded from the tire being thrown off my 250r from doing doughnuts.

    This is my trike.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
My trike is my best friend.
It is my life. I must master it, as I must master my life.
Without me my trike is useless.
Without my trike, I am useless.
I must roost faster than my enemy who is trying to beat me to the finish.
I must beat him before he beats me.
Before God I swear this creed.
My trike and myself are defenders of track.
We are the masters of keeping quads the losers.
So be it ... until there is no quad left.

I recently sold my quad (square) and used the funds to add an extended Durablue axle to the 1000x. A new plasma and welding hood also seemed appropriate additions to the garage. The most important improvement made to the trike this summer was the adjustable throttle stop. This makes it much more drivable on a casual cruise. I recently took the trike to the NHRA drag strip in Brainerd MN and used it as my pit cruising rig. The throttle stop was key for making this possible. Upcoming projects for the fall/winter include an extended swingarm arm and wheelie bar for drag racing. After some searching I see some info on swingarms but not much on wheelie bars. Any advice?

    Hang&rattle,

That's exactly what I am looking for. Need some closer pics of how it attaches to the swingarm and subframe. If I am going to turn this beast loose and ride the bar I definitely don't want it to let go (although it would be a spectacular youtube video!)

This is all I could find, if you contact him by p.m. he's a real nice guy and supports the trikes eating quads on the dragstrip.
