YTM225 year confusion

According to the previous owner, my trike is an '86, when looking on the bike bandit.com microfiches, they show 3 beveled gears that make up the middle drive assembly, however my bike has only two, as the '85 models have. i have the serial number, and would like to see if someone would be able to decode it, as i have been unable to find any 9 digit vin decoders online

29U-008296 is the s/n, hopefully someone can clear this up for me so i can get on with ordering the correct replacement parts

really? wow thats a big year jump, but atleast that explains the lack of a third bevel gear, thanks for the help. if you dont mind me asking, where did you find the info for the 9 digit vin numbers? i've been looking all day and havent been able to come up with more than 29U means 225DX lol
