    200s help

ok guys im a little stumped, need a little bit of help,,, ok i have a 84 200s and it ran fine, but i had a slight oil leak coming from behind the ignition pulse generator. pryor owner didnt put on a gasket. anyways.
i pulled the engine and and took the head cover off i cleaned the head up, i inspected the the cam and chain and cam guide and tensioner. ect... then i put it all back together and now it will not fire up. well wait it started once and it sounded funny. i got fuel and all electrical connections are good. the choke is right fule cap is in the on side. a new plug and tried the old plug. i checked the index mark on the cam sprocket it wasnt exactly parrellal with the notch. and thats the only thing i think it could be.

    any suggestions.

    thanks dave

Could you have put the pulse generator assembly back on upside down? We've had that happen a couple times just recently. Not the coil, but the center piece. It goes on both ways, and it could be 180 degrees out. Of course, you said it started once, which isn't likely in that state.
