    Can't get my recoil off!

So did the usual... pulled the rope and it stuck all the way out. Normally would just take the recoil off and take it apart and wind it back up, but I can't get it off.
I'm pretty sure the "throw out dogs" or whatever they are called are stuck out and stuck in the "starter cage" (once again don't know exactly what it is called). I have tried throwing it in gear and getting the motor to turn over many times, but its still stuck. And being an automatic clutch It's more difficult. Any body have any tips to get this thing apart? There isn't enough room to get any kind of tool in there to try and pop the dogs down.

Try making it turn backwards . This should force the dogs back in enough.

You cant spin it because of the neutral indicator that sticks through the recoil housing. Trust me, I've tried beating the h**l out of the thing to get it off.

I had the same problem and they really don`t turn over backwards, JUst kinda feels like the clutch slippin when in gear and you push it backwards. I just had to pry mine off.
