Howdy from Oklahoma!!!

Howdy. I am a first time trike owner from Oklahoma. I had rode a few back when I was younger, but I must confess was way more into two wheeled transportation. Now, thanks to a lucky trade, I am the new owner of a 1984 Honda 200x. It has definitely not been rode a little rough, but I am looking forward to getting it into gear. That is why I decided to make an account on this website. Hopefully I can pick all of your expert brains and get this thing running again. Thanks and happy 3 wheeling

I also have one quick question. Why am I not allowed to post on any other forums? Am I missing some other step? I have sent in the activation code and whatever you do to that and I can post on this forum, but not on Trikesylvania. I have a question I want to get help with, but everytime I try to post a new thread it says I do not have access.

Welcome to the site.. Where in Oklahoma are you? I'm in Coffeyville, KS. As far as your question about posting, I'm not sure if you have to have a certain number of posts first. Ask your question in here, and we'll do our best to answer it.

Ok, well like about everyone else on this site, the person I got it from "parked" it a few years back and it was running then. I have kicked over some pretty difficult bikes, but I cannot get this one to fire. I have replace the spark plug and changed the oil. I am going to try some new fuel next. I just wondered if anyone had any advice. The thing of it is that I can push start the bike and it will run just fine, but I cannot get it to kick start. I have yet to do a spark test or pulled the carb. Just wondering what my next step would be in trying to get this thing to run right. I think it will be a good trike, I mean it has real good compression and when I have had it running I did not see any smoke. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it sat that long it will def need a carb cleaning . Most likely the pilot jet is clogged
