    Honda 200S pull starter

I'm working on a friends 200S pull starter. It was handed to me in a pile already off the bike. I repaired the recoil but I can't figure out how to attach the coil spring for the compression release since I've never worked on one of these before. Can someone give me some advice or have a diagram of how it should be connected? Thanks, Randy

Do you really need the decompression release? IMO they are easy enough to crank to not hook it up. When I changed the rope on mine, I found it was a PITA to hook up and I wasnt using it anyway...

Not really trying to debate here but I find it much easier to start using the decomp. Before mine was hooked up sometimes I'd catch the compession stroke when starting and the pull cord would just stop and pull right out of my hand (Im not a big burly man I guess lol). Then the cord broke which is how I figured out the decomp stuff was gone. I'm working on setting up a manual decomp lever.

Yes seaBass8, it used to do it to me also but I guess I found a way to not having it kicking and I'm also using a snowmobile handle so I have way more grip.

I am using a snowmobile handle also. Sometimes it bites and about tears your arm off.

I guess I have stiff arms... My brother and my father are also telling me its kicking back real hard but since I got a snowmobile handle, it never did it to me again.
