I am thinking this is an 82 KLT200. I am looking at picking it up for pretty cheap. But I have no idea what I would need it for. I've got the 250ES, 200X, and YT175. I have heard mixed reviews about these trikes.
Would it be a decent trike to let beginners learn on? I have heard some people say they handle like crap and others really like them. It would just be use for moderate woods riding, seems like it would be a good one for that. And it actually looks like it would clean up pretty good.

I had a KLT160 that was well used and still kept moving. It was Shaft Drive though with reverse. Don't believe the 82 would be shaft but again mine ran well for as much time it had on it.
...the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abide in the vine...

Looks just like a 200 but the rear toolbox looks completely differnet than mine. I do like mine i just need to get the money for a new top end. 40 psi compression makes it run like crap.

Pretty sure thats a 250. I don't think the 200's ever came with suspension on the front.

Its the earliest model KLT 250A, judging from the decals. They handle okay if the rear end is locked, and not in differential mode. It looks to me like that one is electric start only, no optional kick from the factory. I have a 200 that looks a lot similar, and I believe mine is a 1981. They are good workhorse machines. I think they would be okay for someone to learn how to work a hand clutch on, as the 200 and 250 all have manual clutch. Good luck, and pick it up if the price is low!

Just looked in my manuel that covers all kawasaki utility trikes. The klt 250s frame went down below the motor the klt 200's frame ran to the back along side the of the cylander.

we have a klt 250 with a 200 axle but the differencial wont lock, have any ideas what it could be? that one in the pic is a 250 btw
