    Not many of these around

I bought the red one for the grand kids when they come to visit. Then after being tired of hearing, "when is it my turn", I got the black one. The rear fender was trash on the red one so I picked up some flexable plastic from a salvage store and made some fenders. Not OEM but they keep you dry. A valve adjustment on the red solved the hard starting problem. I painted the black one but other than that, it needed nothing (thanks Andy). Both run fine and don't smoke. I only pray nothing breaks because parts are pretty rare. I know what you guys mean when you say 'they are addictive'. They are a 1985 klt160 and a 1986 klt185.

I believe that you can still get the rear fenders from Kawasaki. They are around $91.00.

Man, great find on the Kawasaki's. I'd at least like to see one in Montana, just at least want a shot to buy a KLT, you're very fortunate.

That made my day seeing that picture.....you are quite welcome. Glad the Kawi went to a good home. Pics like that are a big reason I buy, sell, and ride 3 wheelers. You have to make some stories with the next generation or the sport will die. Hope you get a lot of use from ol' blackie. Nice touch up's by the way!! Looks like a whole different 3 wheeler.

Ya, ol blackie came out pretty nice. I sanded out the scratches and applied two coats of primer and two coats of Auto Zone black lacquer. Two coats of wax also. Good enough. Still have to put the rack on the back. I'm thinking about getting another one so I can ride with them. Negotiations broke down yesterday.....
