    350x Dual Exhaust, Any Gain???

I believe I was watching one of the recent Snow Vids on here recently or possibly somewhere on youtube and saw a 350X with Dual Exhaust. Anyone ever done that and had noticeable gain? I was wondering if so how it was ran, side by side then split at the back? I'll try and find it again and post the link.

I'm trying to remember where I seen one, can't find the link right now but it did look cool. I didn't see how they ran it though.

Thanks Mike, Wow, nice set-up! I like the way they ran it on each side. I would think there would be some gain but hard to say, does look good though in my opinion!

It's a reduction in back pressure, no gains and not the easiest thing to do either......

I just finished reading the whole thread, they have different opinions on the gain. Apparently the guy who did the mod was experienced in high performance exhaust. The owner says he sees the gain while racing others but really did it for looks. I'm not a mechanic but it sure looks cool! Still trying to find the link to the other one I saw recently!

Only gain I see here is weight... Why not build a good 2-1 system that flows better and weighs less?

    For Looks!

I really like the look of dual exhaust, guess from back in the day when it was cool on the Muscle Cars. I think it looks great on the way they did the one Mike posted above. Sometimes preference isn't always performance and the 350x doesn't seem to lack any power even stock. I started this thread as I was wondering if there would be any gain because I personally like the look on one I saw the other night. So there's two 350X's so far that I know of who went to duals. The're mixed reviews on the 3wheelerorg but seems like the person who fabricated it had some experience with performance exhaust. The owner states he sees the difference with gain. I would be happy with a custom look even if it wasn't maximum gain.

    I might!

Maybe on one of them. It would be a good comparison side by side with a stock exhaust, single performance, and then a Dual! It will be while before I get there. I have two 86's, one 85, and I'm working on getting one more 86. I think I would check out all options to eliminate any backpressure issues that were discussed on the other site. Guess from what I understand depends on what mufflers and the pipe diameter you use. Still working on trying to find the other 350X I saw so I could ask what he used!
