My first Big Red

Just got a 1985 big red, found it on Craigslist. I only had to drive about 45 minutes away to get it. It didnt run but got it to pop. I only paid $480 so I dont think it was a bad deal. I took the carb apart and cleaned it put it all back together and have been riding it all day. The plastics are not the greatest and am going to need a new front rack. I noticed after looking after everyones picture that your motors are silver. Mine is black??? I hope its not a different motor. Where in the VIN does it say model? Any help appreciated. I was trying to upload a picture but haveing issues

post some pics. if its a black motor than its either been painted or its a 250sx motor. they are the exact same motor just different machine. sounds like a good deal to me.

Thanks for the link, I was looking for the VIN on the motor. There is one stamped under the exhaust. I cant figure out the picture adding but will add asap. My computer is giving me issues.
