Scored an old school front Hoosier Tri Trac

Just though some of ya might get a kick out of this rare front.
It's an old 10" Tri Track Hoosier like some of the big guns ran back in the day. It's dried out a bit from sitting, but has near new tread. Unfortunately, these old soft tires dry crack real easy with age. I'm going to put it on one of Jody Meadows 10" hub/wheels with an innertube for precaution. It'll just be a display piece on the 200R soon. I've only seen a few others still rolling. Anybody else got some pics of their own?? Please share!

hey buster you probably know this but the 9 inch wide three wheeler tri tracs for the rear have been discontinued by hoosier last year . They only make the really wide quad tire now but there are some 9 inchers still around so if you need some you better get them while you can.

I haven't seen front single groove in 20 years + , nice find. I have some 20x11x10 rears in my shed that I still play with that I had forever. Vasoline the sidewalls to prevent dry rot . Thats what Hoosier told us to do way back. I think it works mine are almost as old as my shee and I ran them on my Tecate. Nice

Very Nice score.!!!..any dryness/cracking? Seems like anytime I think I find a great old tire they have some minor cracking somewhere...even NOS

Oh, yha it's dry/cracked too. Holds air, but I don't know for how long? Probably a slow leaker. I just feel lucky to have found an example period.
Hopefully a tube will help it's longevity. I'm thinking for a easy retirement on the 200, it'll be up off the ground on a pit stand. Here's a better look at the dryness. Now you'll be really hating me.... Just sold the older rim too. Sometimes you just get real lucky I guess.

Neat find, but it looks like it belongs on the front of a tractor.

I kinda had that thought coming from a rural area.

Here's some old pics of (supposedly) one of Mickey Dunlaps old trikes. This was up on ebay about 3 years ago. Shoulda Woulda Coulda.......
I really like the hand grooved (cut in) pattern on this Tri Trac. Looks pretty cool. Called the guy a couple times here about a year ago. Still has this trike and a few NOS ST kits. WON'T sell. Maybe he's a member here, probably ?? David something ??

I have a front hoosier just like hondaharry does. It too is mounted on an old tiger wheel and came with all my Tiger spare parts when I bought erectordales 250. It's pretty much in the same shape. I guess those softer racing tires weren't meant to last too long. It's still cool though.

They look like a tractor tire at first but these tires were meant to be grooved ,cut and siped.You can turn it into a knoby if you need to or leave it the way it is for a track that is taking alot of rubber .
