85 200x how to adjust valves or do all these motors have this tick

my 85 200x has a tick in the motor just bought the trike i was just wondering do all these 200x motors tick it sounds like valves i do not no how to adjust them

There is a bolt on top of the case above the sprocket cover behind the jug. With it running, loosen the bolt and watch the noise magically get better.
Just to clarify, that is the timing chain tensioner adjustment that normally needs done more often than valves on the 1st gen 200x.

Mine also has that ticking sound, i have tried adjusting the valves and the timing chain tensioner thing. Just to clarify on the timing chain, do you turn the 10mm bolt or the 14mm bolt?

It won't quiet down, all these style motors need a new timing chain and 2 guides..........
