    Honda 200x 3 wheeler help.

I have a 1985 Honda 200x and we cleaned the carburater out and put it all back together and now it idols VERY scary high and the idol screw doesn't help it either way.The thumb throttle is also loose as in it pushes easily in about halfway before you feel resistance.Any help would be great thanks in advance.

Sounds like the slide is in backwards or hung up. Loosen the top cap and check it out. Remove the Airbox and peek inside to see if it's hung up....

    Sounds like it is.

The slide is connected to the cable and the doo dad that has the spring and needle on it.

Well I think that worked. It maybe cold natured and need to be warmed up before it will stay running idling.Right now you have to give it gas to keep it running.

Some engines are like that, you just need to get the heat flowing around before they will idle correctly.

Well its still doing like before. That fixed the throttle but it still will not stay running unless you give it gas even if its warm.Gonna clean out the gas tank and maybe do the carburater again.Do any of you know something else that can be done?

air screw adjusted properly?....when you removed the airscrew to clean the carb (assuming you did), did the needle on the screw get bent or mushroomed at the tip? was it set properly again? (meaning NOT where it was when disassembled as it may have been reset to make a dirty carb run better....check the setting

also sounds like pilot jet may still be clogged....sometimes "cleaning" merely moves debris to another part of the carb clogging it up somewhere else

download a manual from here....will help you tremendously and its free

"A lightly seated posistion"...So I tighten it but just barely?...Can I just unscrew it all the way out to check the tip without screwing anything up ?Or do I have to take the whole carb off again?
