honda 200e big red key issues

ok i need some info about the ignition key on the 1982 honda 200e. Here is the problem. for the past 3 months once and a while when you turn the key then press the start button, nothing would happen. turn the key back off and back on a couple times then it would work. Recently i turned the key on started it up tried the lights and nothing, turned back off and on then it worked agian. soo is there any way to fix this problem? if not where can i get a different key setup for it. I would try and clean it all out, including your start/stop switch as well as your key switch! The ignition switch I would use electrical spray cleaner. Just a thought before spending money on something you may not need.

thanks guys i will take a gander at the key this weekend and clean and lube it up
