    PLEASE HELP! How do i tighten the chain on my 200x?

    i know my stepdads polaris had an eliptical axle that tightened the chain. but im not sure if the 200x has the same thing. please and thank you for your help

    on 83-85 200x there is a swing arm pivot bolt nut near where the swingarm joins the frame on the shift lever side of the bike you loosen the pivot bolt nut then turn the other two adjuster nuts exually to loosen or tighten hope this helped

    if your chain is stretched, you can take a link out.... I know the 83-85 x's are the T-50 chain...which you can get at TSC cheap. Just walk in grab a box and a few master links and you have a fresh chain and plenty extra to replace it again.

    That is horrible advise. If your chain is stretched, replace it with a new chain and sprockets. And no, a 200X has a 520 chain.
