    185s aluminum front rim?

Im building a 81 185s for my girlfriend (and me lol) to ride. Im going for a race look. I put 400ex hubs on the rear with aluminum rims and would like to put a aluminum front rim on it. Has anybody ever made one or is there something that i can use from something else that will work with the 185 hub bolt pattern? Thanks for any info

is it 3 or 4 bolt? i cant remember.... you can still find aluminum wheels its just not easy. you can try to pm vealmonkey, he may have something sitting around. search around on ebay, be creative with your word choices and i think you'll find something.

Your stock rim should be 8X8 and the bolt pattern should be 3/100

    After 1981 it was 4/130.

Would it be easier to get a post 1981 hub for the 4/130?

My hub is a 3 bolt. Will a 4 bolt hub swap out or is there something to change? Axle..axle spacers..brakes?

ID:	139617The 3 bolt and 4 bolt 185s hubs are interchangable. All the 3 bolt parts (except the wheel of course) will fit the 4 bolt hub. Do you need a suspension frame???

Ill have to pick one of those up when they get some in stock. Im looking forward to getting this lil beast running. Motor work is almost done. I had it bored 80 over with a 12-1 piston, ported, stainless valves, heavy springs, new rockers and I have a mid range cam on the way. A buddy (thanks andy) hooked me up with a PK racing pipe. Im not sure on a carb yet? I want to go bigger but not sure how much? Any suggestions?

At least a 200s or 200x carb. 12:1 piston should rip your arm out of socket. I've got an engine like that. Better make sure that decomp lever works or get an 82 and later head with the decomp cable or you won't be happy.

Good deal! I have a 200x carb...somewhere. I made a aluminum pull handle to start it. Its a flat piece of aluminum bent in a U with a 7/8 id pipe tig welded to it. It shouldnt come out of my hand. My shoulder is the next week point LOL!
