    atc 70 frame

so i got a frame cheap. it needs to be straightened and i plan on extending it 3 inches and bracking it with a pipe inside all nice. my question is whats the biggest side motor i can do that dose not have a clutch i kinda dont wanna like the semi auto, or amd i gonna have to suck it up and shift? i wanna do a 140 yx motor or whatever there called all done up from tboltusa.com. can i still do a pull start convertion on that? and doing a bigger motor will i need to lift the gas tank for a bigger carb to fit?

Not sure what is the biggest cc semi auto....125 If I recall? You can use pullstart conversion on the china motors.....kits are available. You may need to get creative with a rubber mallet and or raise the rear mount of the tank a bit depending on the carb and intake you run. Intake can be shortened and rewelded or you can just adjust the tank with a rubber ...won't take much but ya it's tight. Hang on when your done....... Plenty of threads on here from Mad70 gang ,Kasey and others. Mosh just built one here lately.....check his build out. Good luck.

I was looking at so many when I bought my lifan. I was considering the 125 auto, but I didnt want 3 different trikes with 3 different shift patterns. I settled in the 140 1 down 3 up.

That guy is a great guy! Easiest way to bend it back is if your taking the motor out place a 4x4 where the engine sits. Place a bottle jack there and use another 4x4 across the forks and jack away. Just remember your going to have to go past it a little because the steel has some springs to it.

Yeah.... That's pretty annoying. Still so new to riding so I have to think about it from bike to bike. Thank god the two favorites are semi auto upshifts.
