New guy from Georgia with new project ATC250es

Hi, I just joined. Name is Corey. I live in Middle Georgia and have had 5 or 6 Honda ATC's over the past 20 years. I just bought a 1986 ATC250es Big Red yesterday and plan to restore it. It's only major problems are the gas tank is rotted and has a broken brake cable. I will get it going first and then tear it down to the frame to do a restore / clean up. This is my first Big Red. I've always wanted one. It's missing one piece of plastic (the wedge that covers the kick start) but is complete otherwise. I look forward to research here on the forum. Nice pics! To post larger ones you need to upload them to a photo share site then insert the script. I know there is someone on here that can explain it. I just know how to do it. Nice 250ES less that tank!

Thanks for the welcome. I rigged a 1gal tank on it and got it running today. Also ordered a tank to replace that rust bucket one. Hope to be riding soon.

If this forum keeps crashing I'll never build up enough post to become a "real" member. Every time it goes down and comes back its restored from a older date and all my post get gone. I had 30 something post and this morning I only have 7. What gives?

Cwc... hang in there. Pm billy once the site is working again. Im sure he will get you streightened out. I was one of the first 25 members of this site, we have not had this type of problems befor. W alittle time im sure it will be perfact again!
