1986 250R throttle cable and 39PWK dont fit no good.

I'm combining both. The nipple on the throttle cable doesn't let it mate nicely to the carb and make a nice seal. Whats a triker to do!? There's a fitting on the carb the screws on\off but I was hopin to use that since its more professional than the cable jut sitting there against the lid. Bedsides it feels half ass letting it go like that. What am I doing wrong?

in the first pic you see the cable against the carb lid, its just sitting against it. in the other picture you see the fitting that screws in to the carb lid. Do i need a certain cable that screws into the carb lid, or one that doesnt have such a large end on it and just slides into the fitting o nthe pwk lid? what am i missing here?

Jason, you have the wrong cable. It has to be for a PWK because a stocker won't work. It will also have a 90 degree elbow on it to run along the bottom of the tank.
