try an impact wrench? left hand thread maybe?Throw a little heat on it? If you try to heat it go easy since your staor/alternaor is back there. I use Kroil, but I have PB Blaster and a couple other penetrating oils too. I really like the Kroil.

Make sure your motor is held down nice and good, put your socket and ratchet on it, and turn your ratchet with a car jack. I shattered a cast iron ratchet trying to loosten brake callipers doing that though so dont use a nice one.

"F" all the breaker bar/cheater bar/fatbrother/bumperjack 1-ton pickup crap. Get an impact and hold the flywheel with your hand and it will come right off. I've taken dozens of engines apart from all different manufactures and have never once had a flywheel give me a problem.

Invest in the right tools to do the job or you'll end up spending twice the amount on broken parts trying to do things the hard way. You go using breaker bars on things like this and what are you going to use to hold the flywheel? Guys go jamming crap in places where stuff like that doesn't belong and next thing you know you've got a broken case or something along those lines. Or s stripped flywheel nut, then where are you at?
