Nos 350x headlight, whats it worth?

I just picked up a couple 85 350x's and got a NOS honda headlight (NOS plastic and glass) it has never been mounted on a bike but its got a few light surface scratches and a little section where a mouse decided he wanted to some Honda (see pics), Just wondering what it would be worth? Might need to sell it to pay for other parts i need for my 350x resto buildClick image for larger version.

Now its DOS (damaged old stock) and that will affect the value, but I bet a guy like MR. Clean could make it look new again. These days its hard to say what you will get out of it because all it takes is two guys to go crazy over it. It was also probably a new take-off part from when the bikes were dismantled back in the day.

    Undamaged 300-500
    Damaged 200-350 ???????????????

Alright thats actually more then what i was thinking (Around $200 tops) the damage isnt even really noticeable when its on the bike but its just one of those things that would bother me knowing that its there, i am still trying to decide weather to sell it or keep it for my build up

I was getting them for 99-150$ years ago.

Now they seem to ask 175$ for a used nice setup.

That being said, I believe it could easily bring in above 300$

I have been trying to pick up a few more but there getting too much money for ones that have flaws......

Well put. I wish more people would be forthright about the true condition of unused parts rather than fighting about it after the sale. I suspect a lot of secondary quality parts that were replaced before they went onto the showroom floors back in the day are now being sold as NOS these days. I know I've bougth some.

Yeah very true there has been so many times i have bought parts listed as "mint" (and paid a whole lot for them) just to see them when they get delivered and be a completely used and abused part. I just posted it as NOS because i didnt think of putting DOS on it, just for the record this was never on any bike, I asked about the packaging but previous owner said the packaging was there when he bought it but i guess the mouse chewed that up to. He bought the glass separate NOS <- Really New old stock
