    Howdy all.

I recently bought my first three wheeler at an estate sale last weekend. I've had numerous four wheelers but I was born in '82 and the three wheelers seemed to be going away by the time my parents wanted to get me an ATV around age ten. I got this thing for $110 with my auction fees and taxes and it was listed as non-running. I asked the auctioneer what all was done to try and get it to run and he said nothing. They just tugged the pull cord. The motor does spin free.

Edit to add: I'm not even sure what model this thing is by the way. The auction house had no paperwork on it. If someone can help me ID what year and model it is I'd appreciate it. I didn't have time to get a vin number or anything or even look for one. I just loaded it up in the truck, took it to my new house, and put it in the garage.

I figured even if I can't make it run I can always part it out. It looks good just needs some cleaning up and a little work to get it running. The seat is toast and the linkage is missing for the brakes. The tires look really good and are not dry rotted. I took a little bit of comfort in that thinking that at least it ran good enough recently that someone invested in some new tires for it. Also I haven't even looked in the fuel tank yet. I will try and clean/rebuild the carb, put new fluids, spark plug, etc and see if I can even get her to start. It sits and points straight and the frame looks good. The estate sale was for an old WWII vet so I imagine it wasn't ran super hard. He had a lot of neat stuff but this is all I got.

Anyway we are in the process of moving into a new house right now so I probably won't have a chance to dig into it for a few weeks. I look forward to learning about it and getting this thing running and looking good!

    Ooppss. Typo and fixed it.

As soon as I find out what model this is I'll get a manual coming. (http://www.amazon.com/Honda-Factory-...6580741&sr=8-5) Will that one work?

Also PM me where to send the money and I'll get payment out to you.

81 ATC 200. Great trike and yours looks really good.

In my opinioin, when these old Honda singles don't run, it's either a dirty carb or bad stator. Most often a dirty carb.

Here's what I'd do just to see if it runs:
    - give it a fresh plug and check for spark
    - if you have a spark, change the oil - it only holds a quart and you can get ATV or MC oil at most auto parts stores
    - pull the carb apart and clean it
    - put a little gas in it and see if it runs

You might want to check the tank for rust and if it's rusty just use a little funnel to poor gas straight into the carb until the tank is cleaned.

Good luck and have fun - those are great trikes and you got it cheap!
