    got 2 baby coons today

over a week ago i saw a baby racoon outside the front door. when i went outside it scurried up the big tree out front. looked up into the tree and noticed there was a total of six babies. been waiting and watching since then and have yet to see any kind of adult coons around. today when i got home two of them were out in the backyard so i grabbed the traps and helped them in with a broom and no they were not harmed other than the trapdoor catching one on the nose. i must say for being so small they're feisty little buggers. animal control is coming in the morning to get these two. now i have four left to catch, but they're not heavy enough to trip the traps. i guess i have to wait till i see them in the yard and corral them as well.

I have noticed there is ALOT of coons this year. It must of had something to do with the warm winter we had. With all the corn that got planted earlier this year I see them getting even worse in the next few months. Makes me wonder how much coon hides are going for now days.

I have one that keeps getting into my trash and is about to get relocated. I have had him lined up in the sights of a Glock .40 cal more times than I can count, but just can't bring myself to pull the trigger. He knows it and taunts me now.

Squeeze it off,I have too. We're overrun with coon and woodchucks, and starlings. Yes,it has been a horribly good year for rodents and pests!

use marshmallows cats and dogs wont mess with em but coons love em, and dont waste 40 s&w on a coon just use 22 longs straight to the head they'll just do a little fidgeting, if you hit em right they'll go right down with out a fuss. but with the baby coons you could keep em as pets they'll tame out and stay pretty well tempered until they hit adulthood then you smoke em. those look a little to big tho to be pets they may look small but to much instinct now, try a bobcat in that size those things are wicked fast and ill tempered.

A friend of mine and his girlfriend found a baby, probably around 2004. They bottle fed it and had it as a pet for a long time. It was real playful and tame. But as it got bigger it playfulness got a little rough. It would minorly draw blood just playing around. You know how cats will payfully bite and claw at your hands but it doesn't hurt? Well the racoon did the same but it would hurt when he got big. The finally just put it in the girls parents barn where it lived for a long time.

Reaching up and pulling wild coons out of a tree? Wow man, if I tried that those little buggers would light me up.

Was it hard to do with the wheelbarrow you have to cart your balls around in?
This is my trike. There are many like it but this one is mine. My trike is my best friend, and it is my life. I must master it as I must master myself. My trike without me is useless. Without my trike, I am useless. I must ride my trike true. My trike and I know that what counts is not the amount of miles we ride, but the time we ride together. My trike is human in it's own ways, therefore I will learn it as my brother. I will learn it's weaknesses, it's strengths, it's parts, and it's soul.

i had long heavy leather gloves on when i got them and got them by the scruff of their neck. no way would i do it without them or if the coons were bigger. they might not be able to bite hard when they're that small, but they can still draw blood if they do and i'm not about to take a chance on having to get rabies shots. it's like 10 shots into the stomache with a very big needle, so not the funnest thing i can think of for sure.

BTW: when i was looking into the back of the animal control truck i heard this big growl and then BAM! i didn't notice the dog carrier with one pissed off adult coon he had just got from the other side of town. he was down right nasty and pissed.

Nice work. Wonder what animal control will do with them, , lol. Used to love hunting them with my Black'n'Tan Coonhound when I lived back East. My favorite fur by far. Had one when I was a kid too, had to set it free once it got too nasty.

around here they have a no kill policy if they can avoid it. wild animals get released to the wild or wildlife areas. what would be considered normal pets get adopted out.
