do you guys do any clear over your polishing?? i would love to see some of this polished stuff with some clear powder shot on they must have some stuff out there by now that doesnt yellow too much on cure! even if it changes the hugh slightly i would probably be ok with it knowing it would never require polishing again!! Your project is looking stellar by the way!!

Don't know about fire, but I don't clear my polished parts. Windex them if dusty or fingerprints then once a month I use mothers to keep the parts shiny. Sorry for the derail fire!

Zinc plated a few more parts

    Omf seat latch

    The Gas Tank
So I bought a Clarke white gas tank and it fit ok but I wanted more depth and shine so I decided to paint a stock tank (I know what your thinking ). I bought the Caswell epoxy tank liner kit
    .
I first washed the tank out with acetone ,then put drywall screws in the tank and shook .Per the instructions washed out with Dawn dish detergent and then the Acetone again.Mixed the epoxy together and poured in the tank .Rolled and shook tank for about 15 minutes then poured the excess out. Once the epoxy cured it created a hard slick surface inside the tank.
Glass beaded the outside of tank

I bought PPG plastic adhesion kit which includes a primer

Let that primer dry and and sprayed with PPG epoxy primer
Sanded and put second coat of primer on
Sprayed tank using PPG base coat clear coat

It turned out just as I wanted. If it doesn't work I'll put the Clarke tank back on.But for now I am fairly confident it's going to work.
