Exclamation 1985 honda 200x Question about this little oil plug in the head?

Hey Im doing full valve job Brand new everything it the head cam rockers etc... all Honda parts.

I was looking at my 1983 200x Part motor head & noticed there was a Little tiny Plug by the cam bushing and the back of the cam.
I went to look on the one i drive all the time & the one im doing the valve job + brand new crank atm & i noticed there was no little tiny plug on this 1985 200x.

Just wondering why this 1985 200x dosen't have this little black plug behide the cam oil line maybe the owner befor me had taken apart and lost cause it dosen't say anything in the manuel about the little Plug.

Well here some picture of the little plug im talking about maybe some can tell me about this. Thanks

With out the plug you will loose the top end on your motor and wont direct the oil flow to the cam were its needed .

So why did Honda ever put this plug there? Why not eliminate that hole, so there is no risk of losing the plug?

It is there because (Honda) drilled it to make/create the rest of the oil passage up around to the cam journal. The entry hole is no longer (after the oil passage is created....... That hole (opening) must remain plugged, dont lose it, or forget it you will be sorry. You will seize the cam/journals/ & other damage -like Shorline10 said.

It.s merely there because oil passages have to tunnel through and meet up with the oil source.

I guess a taper pin would suffice but then you can't clean out the oil passage.....
