easy carb question PLEASE ANSWER!

hey everyone, I have a quick question, I disconnected the throttle cable from the carb slide on the top of the carb where the needle and clip are located, I noticed a W clip was just floating around in there with the spring. What is this w clip suppose to be attached to?

goes inside the slide at the bottom under the spring to hold the needle in place.that is if it is the clip I am thinking of. what carb is it?

its a kehin 22mm for a 200s. its just an arched little metal clip, so the arc goes over the end of the needle or does it go in sideways? sorry for the lack of description im pretty new to all this

a pic would be very helpfull. it should lay down flat at the bottom. if its the clip i am thinking. the clip holds the needle down and the spring holds the clip down then the cap holds it all down lol. I am not familar with that carb but typically thats how it goes

Just ben is correct... Thats the retainer for the needle.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going to put the carb on earlier and didn't find the clip when i unscrewed the top! luckily I found it laying on the shop floor where i rebuilt it last night phew. Anyway I put the carb on and a new plug along with fresh premium gas and after sitting for 3 years it fired right up on the second pull I couldn't believe it lol
heres a pic of it this morning before I put everything back on, Ill post another tonight when I got it all cleaned up.
