    85 200x Help please

Just picked up a 200x and I need some things but the main thing is a motor. Any help would be awesome!

I have the motor but I'm not sure if its worth rebuilding. The guy who owned it before me beat the crap out of it and I don't feel confident enoughto get it running on my own. Plus I got it specifically to be a manual.

I have had plenty autox's and they can be pretty fun but it is more fun to me playing with the clutch.

so...what exactly are you asking? Rebuild advice or are you looking to buy a motor?

I'd prefer to purchase a new motor instead of messing with this one if the price was right. I'm going to do a compression test on it thursday probably and see what's up. I just don't know what the guy before me did to it or how bad of a job he did doing it. I need the 4 bolt axle clamp for the front fronks as well. Just the cap though. Might need some electrical stuff or clutch cable later on as well. Just trying to focus on getting either a running motor or this one running.

You can send a PM to BKM. He may have a 200x motor.

My engine isn't drop in ready. It has the Megacycle roller cam and 10.5:1 piston. The previous owner took it apart to do the timing chain and it is just bolted together and needs to be finished up.

Could you finish it up? I'm not too experienced with these yet when it comes to rebuilding the motor. How much would you have to get for it drop in ready?
