I have to come clean..I strayed!!

My conscience is killing me, I have to fess up!!

I bought something with 4 wheels..

But, hey if you are going to step out, at least I didn't go after a fat ugly one..she's hot right?

Another great CL find in Michigan. Love the lines of this machine, all original(except exhaust), super clean, garage kept..she looks good for being 25 years young!!

Came with rear rack and a set of sand paddles..got it for $1100. Not a steal, but a great deal I think!

I think your guilt is misguided. We don't care if it has 2, 3, or 4 wheels. All we care about is whether or not you leave everything to the board when you kill yourself on that thing with 4 wheels because we care......... Seriously, I'd have bought that. Its in great shape. Great score.

I totally don't understand the ''coming clean'' part or the ''fessing up'' part since this IS the quad section but you did seem to get a really nice 250x there!

I remember when these first came out I wanted one so bad. My dad and I went and looked at them and were close to getting one for me. Then he came home with our 250r and all thoughts of the little X quickly disappeared. They are sweet machines though. If I found one that clean I wouldn't think twice about picking it up.

Dam Doug,,,That is a beauty queen.. very, very nice grab. I too just bought a machine out of Michigan. A 250R also. Great guy to deal with. That machine looks like it will clean up to insanely remarkable condition. Is she bound for deep mud holes?? I fear this answer!! What a beauty.
Please help those who cannot help themselves.

ALWAYS buying Museum quality machines,3 and 4 wheels. And any and ALL ,NOS parts,EVERY brand.

I am turning my PM's Off,my Email is billsracing@hotmail.com,put 3WW in the subject. Thanx!

A 1992 250X was my first quad. Couldn't kill it, they are so reliable. The only thing that ever went wrong in the years I abused it was the CDI. I think I changed the oil once.............. ever. Nice score, it looks clean

This will see some trail rides..but no really nasty mud.

I've taken to searching out the higher quality, cleaner machines..like the 200m I got last week. Find these forgotten or little used gems and clean them up for keepers..

I guess I've started to turn a bit to a perservationist collector!! But not garage queens, just nice units that can still be ridden!!

How far do your travels take you Bill? PA to MI is a hell of a run for trike hunting..also dare I ask what you body count is up to currently?

I just got myself a 250X as well! Fun machine, not the fastest, but it can haul my heavy 260lbd body up a hill in 5th!

Was out for a ride Sunday, ran thru some trails that my brother and I like at the local conservation area.

What an amazing machine!! Very impressive for a 250 four stroke, suspension is great and it climbs hills beautifully..

Those who say it isn't very fast, not sure how much faster you want to go or why?

I think my trike collection just got a bit of competition!

Don't forget that speed is relative. Some of us have rode the 250x back when it was new and have moved on to bigger and MUCH faster things. It might happen to you as well but for the time being have a ball on your X!

Nice!!!! I love the 250X's.. 87 250x was my first quad and I raced them Cross Country for years. Still have mine that has a TC stroker in it and my Four Stroke powered one is at permenent loan with a friend. Great quads and the one you have seems to be low hours. Looks like DG steel nerf bars and Maier A Arm guards, I loved them guards but they quit making the plastic ones years ago. Enjoy it they are fun play bikes.
